Everest VBS

Day 1 is over and it was awesome. We had 73 kids registered and 69 in attendance.
Today we learned that God has the power to provide (HOLD ON!!!). We saw how God provided for Elijah in the middle of a drought in the middle of the wilderness by sending Ravens to feed him. Sometimes we think our needs are to big to be met. Sometimes we think the obstacles are to numerous. But I want you to know that the God we serve is bigger than your needs and no obstacle is too numerous. “Our God is so big, so strong, and so mighty. There is nothing our God can’t do!”
Day 2 is over 70 kids got to hear that we all serve a God who is powerful enough to comfort us in our darkest of times. We live in a world where people suffer in so many ways and seek comfort in all the wrong places, Jesus tells us the comforter is the Holy Spirit and he dwells in every believer. So when your beat up, beat down, or just plain hurting call on a God who made you, knows you and loves you. It’s not too late bring your children today.  God has the power to comfort!  (HOLD ON!)
Day 3 is over, another great day with some awesome kids. Today we learned that God has the power to heal (HOLD ON!) we talked about the story of a man named Naaman whom Elisha sent to the river Jordan to dip seven times so that he could be healed of his leprosy. Have you ever felt there was too much hurt or too much pain for God to heal? No disease, no hurt, no pain is too great for the great God we serve. So if you’re hurting physically, emotionally, or mentally I encourage you to cry out to a God who has the power to heal. If you don’t know where to start do what Naaman did he sought out a man of God you can too and we can help.
Day 4 is in the books and it was great. We learned that God has the power to forgive (HOLD ON!) our past, our present, and our future. We learned that Jesus is the only one who can pick up the pieces of our lives and put us back together again. Let’s be honest most, if not all, of us feel, if only occasionally, that we just aren’t enough. We aren’t good enough, lovable enough, wanted enough, passionate enough, committed enough, etc.. we yearn for more, we yearn for completeness, fulfillment, purpose, hope, and a future. The answer to all of this is found in a man, not a system of rules and regulations, a man who came to this earth to eliminate the problem once and for all. Do you know him? Have you heard? Jesus Christ came to this earth to save the sinner even the worst of them and compel them to a life of meaning, hope, and power. Our God is so big, so strong, and so mighty, there is nothing our God can’t do!!!
